I remember them well. I liked them better as "Vandal" Remember the "reggilers"? Not sure of the spelling.. They were around at the same time as Riggy.

Freq! 'walkingincementshoes' - liked it alot. I'd even put it in my MP3 player if I could. ( for a while anyway) The 'media putfile' site worked, although it did take about 30min to buffer to whole piece, before I could listen. 'myspace' site, with the FLatStanley tunes, alas, would not work for me. S'okay, maybe later...... As for your job, My IT skills just aren't what they should be, otherwise I'd be in there like a dirty shirt! wink wink, nudge nudge, know what I mean? Nezumi (Hey where's my smoking smiley?) Wow, you got it in a half hour.. Yikes.. That's a long wait for that tune of mine.. Again.. not worth it but glad ya liked it. I may post a few others in the near future. I have quite a few. ;D

I remember them well. I liked them better as "Vandal" Remember the "reggilers"? Not sure of the spelling.. They were around at the same time as Riggy. The regulars split off into many projects. Steve Goodwin (voc) went to form Dorian Gray in Toronto with another local Todd Williams(base) Jamie Burgess (gui) went on to form local band Bug Lab and eventually toured Japan with his originals. Greg Klein undertook many projects and is currently enjoying success in the TO bar scene. Tim robbins went to Thunder Bay ... and formed a decent band ... can't remember the name. now ... no mention of " on the march" ... who had more success the Riggy Zombie, and was the start of Rob Martin currently of treble charger fame. ? The Dunn rocked in the 80's producing all of these players and more. Those were the days ...

Greg and I tried starting a band one time decades ago.. It was called Agent Orange and never left the house.. haha. We were doing Pyschedelic furs and stuff like that. It didn't last long. I'm not even quite sure who the other members were. We jammed for a month or so maybe. They use to rent my huge P.A. that I had with a member of Edison Slave. We rented it out all the time.
I never heard of "on the march" at all. As for Treble Charger... Ravlich and I were in Toronto a few years ago and heard an interview with them on one of the radio stations and they trashed the Sault Music scene big time. Deep down Rav and I felt the same way and agreed with them.. There's just no true support for local musician's.. Sure when Treble made it huge and played here,, they packed the tent but up until then.. notta.. It will never change here..in my opinion.

K. I finally found a tape of one of my favourite local Punk bands called "Fist Magnet". The had a huge underground following locally and put out this one tape of punk songs called "Piss on the Pieces" recorded on an extremely small budget (a case of beer??? ;-) but stil I love it.. The cover a variety of punk standards and I'm not quite sure if some are originals since my original liner is long gone on this tape however, I'm posting 2 of my favourite songs from the tape. First one is called "Big F'ckin Joints" and the second is my total fav "Force Feed". I have another reason for liking this band because my nephew is the drummer ;D. After his early days in "jesus christ and the cross trainers" his drumming by the time of Fist Magnet had tons of energy and power.. Before listening to these songs please note that there are explicit lyrics so if you find swearing offensive.. don't listen.. Fist Magnet - Big F**kin' JointsFist Magnet - Force Feed

Opposite side of the coin to Fist Magnet is the local country band Double Barrel which had been around for at least 5 years up until the year 2000 with various member changes. Each change of members brought a totally different dynamic to the band but the last few were probably the most entertaining if not the best. In it's day Double Barrel had 1 drummer, 2 bass players, 3 lead singers, and at least 7 guitarists and a massive song list of material. Basically a fun band to listen to with a lot of joking around and jamming, Double Barrel threw in the towel like most country bands around 2000 when the country music scene locally dried up. Here are 2 songs performed live by Double Barrel. Double Barrel - Do Something Even If It's Wrong (live)Double Barrel - 18 Wheels and a Crowbar (live)

Nope.. I wasn't in Edison Slave but Kevin Erickson (guitarist) and Steve McPhail (lead singer/gutiarist) were friends of mine from that band.. Kevin and I had a rig we use to rent out. Parts of it are now at the Princess theatre somewhere.. It was an old JBL rig. Oh I found some local 80's band stuff for ya.. One by Spy vs Spy, Spy vs Spy - Get it On (live)and another oldie by DRIVER,, my first road band.. I hated that band... yuck.. Driver - Panama (live)

Truthfully, when Kevin left town, I never saw him again.. Steve dated my older sister for awhile and then he left and he has his own solo thing going. I have a link on here somewhere already.. 1982 eh.. Yikes.. that's a loooooooong time ago.. The opened for Ted Nugent at the Gardens.. Remember that? They kinda got their asses whipped but they did good in my books considering.

I remember the show well ...
That was the big time, backing up the Nug I mean.
They had balls to pull it off I have to admitt, but they definatly were not what the crowd came to see.

Agreed, plus they got a nice write up in the Sault Star.. Then they changed their name to Bedrock.. (I never understood that) Edison Slave was a cool name..

The 80's did things to people ... I thought bedrock sucked .... edison slave was a cool name ....
TV and Rock band names shouldn't mix ...
that being said I liked uncle fester for a name (early 90's)
