I finally got the Bangers and Mash CD.. Sadly the band has broken up or is regrouping I guess. However, I picked a song off the CD to put on my site.. The one I liked was a song called Flat Out. I like the chord changes in this tune.. I like strange chords changes ;D The song has a mellow feel to it but at the same time has a British thing happening in the the vocals aka late 60's movie soundtrack stuff. So here's the song "Flat Out".. 4th song on the CD. Banger's and Mash - Flat Out

Basically they had a falling out with their drummer. .The remaining members decided to write more original stuff and take a break. I offered my services as a drummer but they seem more focused on writing.

Freq, How local is local? A band from Sudbury - 42Dean- just released a self-titled, full lenght CD and I was looking to promote them a bit, as my husband's cousin is in it. I see they were heavily booked in 2005. I guess they can't be that bad. Their style is alternative dark country? They have a website: www.42dean.com/index.htmThere is a sound file. I hope this passes muster!

Sorry, no clean audio of Crank Shop. All recordings from what I remember were from a video camera and that's it I think. As for Double "Barely".. there were so many versions of the band that recordings are plentiful but these were actually posted for a friend to hear who played in the band at one time and moved away. You remember ole Donnie eh TBM?

BUt on a positive, nobody tears up the stage like Donnie......that SOB never stood still.....lol...just kiddin Don....side to side...side to side...

Yeah Donnie's still in Blind River.. Landed a great job at some plant down there racking in 40 g's a year.. He's on here occassionally but not as a member.. I posted the BR549 songs for him and also some ole Ranch tunes. You never heard Don with the band Rumours? He did well with them.. 3 years. They sounded good. They reformed as Obssession with a new drummer and guitarist but they don't even sound half as good. It's amazing what a couple of players make.
I might be adding some Crank Shop Live video but I'm not sure how long I can sustain my file site for MP3's and vids. They're getting antsy for $$$. Right now it's free.. Knew it was too good to last.. ;D

I've seen the Obsession name bounced around on Soonet. I thought it rather odd that a band names themselves after a strong smelling cologne, but hey what's in a name. I've heard some dandy band names in the past....like "The Spinning Yoda's" which I think could go into the worst name ever bin!...lol
