I am looking forward to seeing these guys play. I grew up listening to Ronnie James and the gang and related more to him fronting the band than Ozzy. It should be a good time..

If I go to that show, I'll be leaving before they go on.

IMO...Motley Crue spoiled me. Last night was alright, Down and Megadeth were pretty good. Loved the stage setup for Dio, looked neat with the stonelook walls/floor and lanterns lit up on the walls. Couple kid down in front of us were openly smoking cigarettes, someone behind us somewhere was smoking but it wasn't plain old cigarettes. Think I got a bit of a buzz on from them. Then there was some guy just a couple rows down from us, kept standing up and bugging people, he was an obnoxious drunk to say the least. One of his chums ask him to sit down I guess, and maybe quit making such a flipping fool of himself. He didn't like that, next thing you know he was swinging, got a couple good hits in too. Cops showed up and got the guy that didn't start it, meanwhile the one that did start it was trying to hide behind his girlfriend. Some nice citizens were kind enough to point him out to the cops tho... ooohhh...his girlfriend was some ticked at him boy! We had seats in 107, pretty good seats too! I had visions of the mosh pit being crammed with people trying to push and shove each other but it wasn't at all. Closer to the front they were quite enthusiastic, but beyond that everyone was standing around. They might have took up half the ice surface all together. Even in 107 there were quite a few empty seats (and yes I even showered). Even to look around, there were a lot of vacant seats, and some sections were bare. (Ones closer to Queen Street). The doors didn't open at 6 like they said either, it was closer to 7 by the time they finally started letting people in. Megadeth made some comment about being short on time so they'd just continue to play right through. I think I finally clued in to why my country-loving Hubby enjoys going to the shows...it's the lack of clothing females feel compelled to not wear while they stand outside in freezing temperatures waiting for the doors to open. LOL... What was nice to see again, that we noticed at Motley Crue and BNL was the audience. There was young teens there with Mom and Dad, right up to old farts (60 and up). Nice to see the community supporting venues like we've had, helps boost the chances of getting even more acts to pass through our little hick town if you ask me.

P.S. I honestly didn't realize the Sault and area had so many long hairded males, lol!!!
And I wanna know what the bass player from Megadeth's secret is. His hair is shiny, silky and just gorgeous. No matter how much he swung his head around, up and down it'd fall right back into place once he was vertical. Man...to have hair like that!

Thanks for the write up Xy. As usual, I had to friggin work. I could have seen some of the show but not all before I would have had to have left. Someday, they'll have a band on a night I'm off.
I heard the sound was rough for this concert but a lot of heavy rock shows with that many bands are "iffy" for sound.
As for the bass players hair.. It's fake and clued on.. haha

I was second row centre for Down, they sounded great, after Down, all the beer I drank kicked in and I wandered around for the rest of the show, Megadeth sounded ok from what I remember, Black Sabbath, I couldnt have cared less. Ronnie James Dio is mostly a joke anyways. He's a good singer, but his songs are super cheesy. All in all I had a good time, mostly I drank a lot of beer. Steelback beer sucks.
