It's a dream come true for some of us to see the band Toto playing at Kewadin. Us older musician's remember when Toto ruled the airwaves and the Grammy awards along with each member of Toto being involved as session musician's for other great artists on their hits. Simon Phillips will be on drums with Toto who without a doubt is one of the world's top 10 drummers. Original singer Kimbal has joined Toto on their live DVD and I hope he's on the tour with them. Toto also has a new album out and you can hear samples on their site.. Styx on a seperate bill will have Gowan instead of Deyoung on keyboards and a new drummer. Gowan (Canadian boy) is outstanding with Styx and worth the ticket price alone. Styx even does some of Gowan's solo material. How cool is that?? I was a huge fan of the original Styx drummer who died a few years ago after a long illness but the new drummer adds a huge abundance of chops to the already smoking Styx show. I'll be honest.. I didn't know Richard Marx was still around after his first solo effort which, yes,, I own. Apparently he writes songs for just about everyone. Marx also has a great touring band behind him and it should be a solid show. To visit their websites, just click the pictures provided for each artist.
