Oh yes, The Freq is a massive Earth Wind and Fire fan. For 40 years EW&F have maintained quality music, song arrangements and vocals. Even after Maurice White retired as main lead vocalist and Philip Bailey took over, the quality is still there. Bailey was always a singer in the band but when Maurice developed Parkinson's Disease 20 plus years ago, Bailey took over. Maurice is still with the band and still controls the band. He just doesn't perform live with them anymore. This new album is the first time Maurice is not part of the writing process due to his illness getting worse, however, the album captures a lot of what gave the band their smooth groovy style in the early days of the band. And they still have a "REAL" horn section.
