I've been into this band for years and they just released
a new album.
Plankton is an all instrumental band from Sweden but they
sound so much like an early 70's hard rock band. There are
shades of Deep Purple and Hendrix and even Moutain in their
music. You have to be into instrumental music to enjoy them
but that's what I love. The guitar player is so awesome but
the band is just as good. Their best material isn't on the myspace
site but there are some good solid ones if you scroll down the list a bit. They're rock and progressive rock but they go mellow at times too. Very dynamic. Drummer is old school and I love his old school drum sound. No over compression or gated crap on his kit. We're talkin' "old school". Presently there is only one video of the band, but I have seen more. They seemed to have been taken down. They were live videos and really show that the band is killer live.
