Yeah I know, I'm addicted to all of Steve Wilson's music projects. What can I say? He da man!! :-)
Blackfield just released their first live DVD featuring music from their 2 albums along with a cover of an Alanis Morissette song. Great band, solid tight and the sound is great. One thing about Steve Wilson is that not only can he sing, play numerous instruments, write songs endlessly, but he is a sound engineer and most if not all projects he's contributed to, have his magic touch for production. Unlike his band Porcupine Tree, Blackfield has a simple stage setup and is all about the music without any huge visual enhancements. Bonus features on the DVD include 3 of their released videos of which one is playing on this forum now in the video section.
Blackfield is more commercial sounding than Porcupine Tree but there is still a depth to the material they write.
If you're a fan of Steve Wilson, this DVD is a must have.
