I want to thank Freq for the invite over here and your permission to post this information. I hope it's in the right place Freq, your permission didn't come with directions...lol. ;D
Anyway, BEARcast is a small, private, non-commercial station that's a whole lotta fun. We feature "Rock, Country, and everything in between including YOUR requests" or so the station motto goes.
We broadcast a full 24/7 schedule and have at this time two live DJ's along with some syndicated programming.
The fully interactive website includes a moderated "family oriented" chatroom featuring trivia.
This is an open invitation to everyone here to "tune in". Registration is free and easy.
Just go to BEARcast Internet Radio. If you have any problems with registration contact me right away and we'll sort it out.
Since about a third of our members are either in or from the Soo I'm trying to "localize" my live shows a little with more Sault Ste. Marie content like news, weather, etc. If you're organizing a local community event serving a good cause or you're an area musician we'd like to help.
Local websites interested in a banner/link exchange can contact me as well.
I've set up a low-bitrate player you can "sample" the station with. If you like what you hear you can register as mentioned above and get the full 64kbps Stereo broadcast as well as full access to the rest of the site.
