I've been reading many rumours as to when the new Tool album will be out. Some say December 24th and it may be either a double CD or a CD/DVD combo. Are there any Tool fans here? Any other rumours out there? I have also heard Spring 06.
I absolutely love them. I think that they are not only very talented song writers but also brilliant musicians.
On a side note, I've been really getting into System of a Down lately. Their new album is going to be released November 22nd and there will be a version that includes the Mezmerize album that was released earlier this year.

The tool rumors are not true Darkstar. Maynard is still going strong with a Perfect Circle and Tool has taken the furthest backseat possible. Danny Carey is in another band whose debut cd will be out soon but don't worry, you're not the only one left out to dry.
You're a Radiohead fan too I see. Very interesting. Have you seen the Live at Astoria dvd? It was made during The Bends and it's nothing short of amazing. Johnny Greenwood still amazes me. He is a true innovator of guitar tones and techniques. Let me know if you hear anymore as I will for you too.

Joolz - Yeah, it's too bad because leading up to Christmas there was a flurry of Tool rumours. I'm still hearing Spring of this year though. I'm having withdrawls. Danny Carey's CD should be interesting though. I think that he's one of the better drummers around now.
As for Radiohead....yeah I'm a pretty big fan. I don't have the Astoria DVD but I do want to check it out. I've heard some really good things about it. Greenwood is an amazing guitarist I think. Maybe not the most technically sound compared to some other players, but he definitely knows how to get the most out of the guitar. I've seen them live 5 times now and I was blown away every time. There's a lot of rumours out now about a summer Radiohead tour. They tried booking a show in Chicago, but the venue was being used. Hopefully they'll come to either Detroit or Toronto. Look for a fall release...
