I've been hearing stellar reports of the Queensryche in Edmonton concert.. Aparently all original members and in this particular show they did the entire Operation Mind Crimes album plus parts of the New Mind Crimes 2 album due out January 2006.

I've also heard a few good reviews of shows that they have done. I didn't realize that DeGarmo was back. Mind Crime was a brilliant album. And actually, I think all of their albums are really good up until The Promised Land. After that album they kind of started going downhill. I have the Live Evolution CD and I find that the guitarist who replaced DeGarmo just wasn't the same. His writing isn't as good, and his solos just weren't DeGarmo. The band really started going downhill once he left. It'll be interesting to hear the new Mind Crime album. You can download two live tracks from it off the www.queensryche.com website. It actually doesn't sound that bad. |

I check out the site once in a while.. Seems to lack updates but I did hear the 2 tunes posted on there. I'd love to see them live.. Maybe Sudbury will get them..
