It's been a while since I posted about this local bar but once again the slime work of the Canadian bar comes to the forefront yet again.
It appears that "Officially" the Canadian bar has pulled the plug on their "Bands Are Back" campaign they recently flaunted some months earlier. It appears that after local band MOJO set up for a booked gig there, the bar didn't even open the doors for the show and what's even more "bizarre" is that the bar didn't let the band know that "bands were canceled". How the f**k does this happen? Let's get this right.... you let the band come in the building hours earlier to set up and play but don't let them know that bands are not happening anymore? Who does his sort of bullshit? Well, to be honest, this isn't the Canadian's first time f**king a band over. My old band Wishbone was scheduled to open for the band Grady years ago and the Canadian canceled us hours before the show so i know exactly what the MOJO band is going through. Whatever the reason for the Canadian bar not having the balls to deal with the issues it has with local musicians, none of us will ever understand them as they are always last second and without notice.
Why is the Canadian treating local bands like this? I have no clue. The Canadian made HUGE dollars from bands with the massive explosion of country rock in the 90's and I'm sure the money made easily blanketed the owners pillow at night so it's a total about face for the bar to shit on bands continuously like they've done the past few years.
The Canadian was once, and I mean this sincerely.... the place to play. If you made it to the Canadian roster of bands, you were golden.
Those days are now so long gone. Now we have a bar that doesn't know it's ass from it's forehead.
So that being said I give you this warning.
If you want to play the Canadian bar at some point, and that's "IF" they ever have bands again,
do so "AT YOUR OWN RISK". ;-) I'm not saying you will get f**ked over but I'm saying that the chances are high that you will get f**ked over. ;-)
I will make this suggestion to everyone. Avoid this bar like the plague. Now this is only a suggestion and by all means I'm not saying you shouldn't go there and learn for yourself. I'm just saying there are better options elsewhere. ;-)
