Yes kids, it's me, the Freq. Yes the forum has been slow on posts lately but visitors are up. Strange eh? Even though I want to shut the forum down at the end of the year, it appears a lot of fans of the site want it to continue. True, I want to do other things and hand the site over to someone else, but fans of the site don't want that. Let's just say, I will think about continuing on but my posting will be sparse for a while, so bare with me.
I have shut off posting options while I'm away just because you never know when kids get out of hand and do naughty things while I'm away. I can't allow that. Some have questioned me through Facebook on why they can't join this forum. It's simple. I no longer allow people to join without telling me who exactly you are. If you're not who you say you are, you won't be allowed on this forum. I've had too much grief with little hackers trying to invade this wonderful peaceful forum and stir the pot. To quote Ross Perot....."not gonna happen"~!
What have I been up to this summer? Lots of music. Tons of recording with Flat Stanley in my recording studio (Screaming Mosquito Studios). You can listen to some of that at this link below. Tons more to be added. The material is just demos and will need lead vocals redone. I only sang the tunes because I wrote most of them but I'm by no means a lead singer.

Also, Wishbone asked me to return to the band and I did so with my guitarist Tony from Flat Stanley. We've played Rotaryfest and look forward to the Cornfest show at Laird on August 27th. Our 2nd CD "The Kill" is out now and selling well and we hope to have it on Itunes soon. We also wrote a 3rd album and will be playing songs from that album at the upcoming show. Remember those knobs that said "Freq was fired from Wishbone". Now, who's full of shit?? Like I said from day one on this forum and in public... I quit and wasn't fired. Now where are the knobs that started the Freq is Fired rumour? Hiding? Drugged up somewhere? Suckin' on the ear of their favourite stufffed animal? Freq loves that rumour stuff.. haha
I've also been working at restoring some drumsets over the summer and doing lots of learning on my new gear in my studio. New software too. So much to learn and do that it just eats up the time. I've also had to put a new roof on my garage which I may convert into a bigger recording studio someday. I'm still pondering that.
I haven't checked out too many bands because I'm so busy but I did manage to check out Cowboys and Indians, a cool local group. I like their tunes and they have a solid energy that I enjoyed at their show. Good drummer too.
Am I still enjoying the 2nd Fall From Grace of Cheese Ass Murphy. Of course, why wouldn't I? That was the funniest shit of the 21st Century.. get it? haha. Maybe not. I predicted the first one and the much hyped second fall. How can you not love it when egos crash and burn like stale old underwear? ;-) I've seen a few of the members "lurking" around the Soo. I just smile and enjoy Freq's victory over cheese. haha. Oh yes, The Freq still rules!!!
Where have the other dickheads gone? Hmmmm good question. Drummer Dr. Phil finally apologized to the girl he mistakenly took for our forum hottie Fingerbang. You just have to love it when some idiots make major asses out of themselves in public places and then find out that OOPS, they attacked the wrong person. Now that is some funny shit. Rot in hell Phil.. ;-) As for the other dickheads,, no one has seen them so I imagine they're under their rocks enjoying the life of a loser. Mr. Fabz is with his new band and I'm sure his ego is bigger than it was with Smurphy. We had an exchange of words via Facebook about "who gives a f#@k ethics". Maybe it sunk in but really, I don't care. I hate cry babies who dish it out but can't take it. Other than that, the local music scene kinda sucks and the bars are still hiring such different styles of bands within a week, I really have no interest in visiting them. The Rockstar seems to have a little more focus than most. It's a nice bar and I do like Docks too. I hate their corner stage though. Same old tired bands make it difficult for me to get excited about going to see them.
As for me, I haven't changed. I'm still opionated and will always voice it when I can. Over the past few years, some say they have lost their respect for me but low and behold, after all the dickheads suckered them into following their stunned ways, they learned that good ole Freq was right and honest all along and ironically some have tried to RE-friend me on Facebook and in person. Guess what..? Live with your bad judgement. Once you've left "Freq World", you're never coming back. Bye bye.. Snooze ya lose.
I'm still friends with my Freq's Music Planet gang but with Facebook chat and Messenger, it's so much easier chatting that way and that's what we've all been doing. We've all got a bit tired of posting on forums including this one but we stil do from time to time. I will consider continuing on but like I said, I've got a lot on the go this summer and will let you know.
To all my friends, ;-) drop by my place, you know where I live and for all the musicians interested in the Freq's music and projects, drop by my Facebook page. I'm always on there.
If you want to do some writing and recording together, let me know. I'm always up for that.
Peace for now.
Enjoy the last of the summer gang.
