Ok, after numerous Facebook event messages totally like 20, there is still no Wishbone 2 album. What gives? They kept yapping about a release and kept changing the dates. Isn't it strange that when Freq leaves Wishbone and even Huckster, nothing seems to happen. Both bands have fallen off the face of the earth. At least Freq kept these bands in your face with constant graphics and music samples. There are finally a few song samples of the new Wishbone album on their myspace site but the site design is lame and hasn't been updated in months. Your Wishbone tribute site is awesome Freq. The new Wishbone samples are ok but the mix is hit and miss but I'll wait for the album to judge, that's if it ever get's released. |O|

Hey Floyd. I have no clue on the Facebook invites. They blocked me |O| I have no clue on the album either. I did hear the song samples on their site. I hate the tuning of the snare per song thing that the engineer always wanted. Basically tune the snare to the song. After listening to the song samples of the new Wishbone, I hate the tuning thing even more. I'm not sure why he and the band were so set on it but it sounds brutal. I even wrote Porcupine Tree's drummer Gavin Harrison and asked about that tuning thing on his forum and he told me in all the recordings he's ever done, he's never been asked to do it and would have refused. Problem is, I tried. Personally it adds nothing to the song and no one out there is going to even notice. Of course I notice because it's not my tuning. It sounds like I'm hitting a water balloon and to be honest, it felt the same way.
It is ironic that when I left these bands they seemed to haven fallen from the public eye. I can't say it's me or not but graphic wise and work ethic wise, I know I wanted to get stuff done when I was with them. My own opinion is that these bands just didn't want to listen to ole Freq. :-) Wishbone has mentioned a summer tour to a few people I know but I'll believe that when I see it. When I was with them, last minute unorganized gigs were their specialty. I hated that! If a summer tour is like that, let just say I'm glad I left. ;-)
Thanks for noticing the Wishbone tribute site. I've got one for Huckster too and most have said the same thing as you Floyd. I spent a lot of time on the graphics for both bands so the tribute sites have all that and more. It is unfortunate that these bands didn't appreciate my input or the extra effort with the graphics but they're doing fine without me don't ya think? ;-) I Wish the sound samples for the new Wishbone album were some of the more upbeat stuff. I did notice they took my vocals off the recordings |O|. It's a common theme with both bands eh? haha. I'm actually surprised my drumming is still on the Wishbone samples as I expected it to be dumped too. Of course that might be the case on the others songs as none of us have heard the final version of the album. We'll just have to wait and see. ;-)
