First off, congrats to the winners Garden of Bedlam. I'm sure there are great things about to happen for you with the Kiss concert. ;-)
For my band who really had a long shot to even be in the show, had a blast tonight playing for the finals. Great crowd and response and that's all that matters. Our fan base "the Amazing Flat Heads" came to our rescue and we love ya for it!!! For the show tonight we played two different songs from our first round set. Not many bands played different songs which I found strange but it didn't matter to the winners. They won repeating a song they did on Monday, so they got 'er done.
NOW, yes, you guessed it.... > the fun part. <
Anyone see Cheezie Smurfy standing on the side of the stage during our performance? Now that was damn hilarious. They're just like little kids, stone faced, trying to look mean and powerful and intimidating but instead looking like the "Village People". Without a word of a lie, they stood there like lard buckets trying to throw our game off. Didn't work did it? Come on. That just makes us play better. I LOVE that kind of stupidity |O|. Of course another fun part was Dr. Phil, (the 2nd nutbar drummer to try and get at me this week) decided to plant his ass at the side of the stage also and yell constant verbal crap at me. Note to Phil: (another avid reader of my forum) You will NEVER throw my game off while trying to start a public brawl. It just makes me laugh and I'm sure you saw me laugh. ;-) I'm not going to make a scene in public for your own amusement and there was no way you or the Smurfs were going to derail our performance, and ... you didn't ;-)
As I predicted, Smurfs used a public venue to try and center the old Freq out. Funny part is, I was already out of the building on my way home. |O|
Now, what is worse, me writing comments on a forum about you or you, looking stupid to a packed bar singing about me. My vote? You guys singing about me and looking stupid |O| That's PRICELESS. There's no way I could have sat through your set without getting a migrain so I left. I'm sorry. Was that bad manners? Ole Freq is always on his game ;-)
So did Freq and Flat Stanley over power the Smurfs? Of course we did. First, we got in the battle, then we got in the building |O|, then we got on stage, then we played and made it to the finals, and then we got to play on stage with the Smurfs while they looked really dorky. Did you notice the people coming up to us after our set complementing our songs? Nah probably not as you were too busy hi fiving each other and kissing each others asses thinking you got the better of Freq. |O| NOT.. We got all of this done without the great Smurfs f**king it up. You tried but alas Freq still remains true to himself and Flat Stanley has gained some fans and respect for sticking to our game plan. It's the perfect scenario. Here's the best part and this point is for everyone. Gsis Murphy actually sat through 4 of my bands songs and I didn't have to listen to any of theirs. I'm so blessed.
Ah well, enough of that crud. I had fun despite all the dumb childish antics of Smurfs and Doc Phil. I just laughed and laughed and laughed. Strange how laughing gets people all anal eh?
I got to meet some great musicians, hear some solid bands, NO not Cheezie Smurfy, and best of all, report my adventures on my forum for all to read. HA!
