Yes, the battle of the bands is on tomorrow and my band Flat Stanley and 9 others will compete for the first night of this thing to get a chance to open for Kiss. I just saw a best of luck posted to the bands for this event by the owner of the bar on Facebook. That's such an empty statement to me. Boycott my band, then wish us luck. Nice. It's all about money. If I get my foot on the stage to play I'll be amazed as this bar has now become unpredictable to me. Matching my old boycotted band with Cheezie Smurfy on tuesday night is even more laughable. My band Flat Stanley doesn't expect to win Monday and we're not even sure we'll get to play going by the recent boycott I got by this bar. I guess we'll know at 9pm monday night. If you don't see us on stage that means we're at the entrance door trying to get in |O|. I made a joke with Crank Sounds guru via email about having long enough mic cables to run out to the parking lot just in case we aren't allowed in to play and that we'd play from the parking lot. |O| Just think, all this bullshit because one puke faced band Cheezie Smurfy can't take what I dish out about them. Believe me, my comments about you are well earned. It has zero to do with the Canadian Bar but this shit band brought the bar into the picture. Little girlie men. For my band, we want to play 2 of our songs and that's as far as we can look. I know the axe will fall on us and not because we're a bad band. It's because some slime local band doesn't like what I say and because they've got a bar owner in their pocket. Guess what? I'm still going to be here, saying what I want. ;-)
To all those reading who are attending this battle, have a great time and I'm sure you will enjoy some great talent. I've heard almost all the bands and you won't be disappointed. I will suggest that you run to the washroom during the Cheezie Smurfy set. Why you ask? Because their music makes you want to piss yourself laughing so it's good to be near a toilet. Besides, do you really want to mess up the Canadian's new flooring? Maybe you do, I don't know |O| Strange isn't it. Most songs take you on a journey, some make you think of love ones, but Smurfs songs make me want to pee. Anyone else feel that way?
