Well, I checked out the museum exhibit yesterday with a few fellow drummers.. Highlite for me was seeing this old 30's Slingerland drumset. OOH ME LIKEY! Some nice guitars and some great old pictures.. Even more interesting were some of the clubs these past bands use to play in. All long gone. We also checked out the rest of the museum.. One really neat thing was that there is a glass floor in there.. as in 2nd floor. Apparently it's one inch thick. You look up and see the above floor and beyond.. :-)
Hats off to Archive for this exhibit!!!

I want to thank "Archive" for putting on a solid exhibit at the museum this past month. I enjoyed a lot of the old pictures of bands and learning about some of the night clubs that are now long gone. My favourite part of the show was the 30's Slingerland drumset and the old square grand piano from the 1800's. While there, I toured the rest of the museum and I strongly encourage others to visit and learn a bit of the history of the good ole Soo. Seeing pictures of street cars on Queen street was pretty neat. Why did we get rid of them? ?? That would have been such a tourist attraction!!! Anyways.. Thanks again Archive for all your hard work for this exhibit. I myself enjoyed the show and your efforts are greatly appreciated.
