I just got a link from new member Voxboy to some material he has written. Very impressive material with some thick guitar sounds. Voxboy and I go back quite a few years when we were with the band Southern Guns (the best stinkin' polka band around ;D) and it's nice to see him carrying on in music. Voxboy plays all instruments with some drum programming along with all vocals. Here's the link to some of Vox Boys material.. Vox Boy original materialTo hear his tunes, click the link and then click "hi fi" to stream the songs. Enjoy..

I'm listening to the Crank Shop tune. Why would such a good band break up. It's a shame. You guys were so damn tight. I'll never understand band politics.

Vox Boy's first song reminds me of Trevor Rabin's solo album. I like that one best.

I'm listening to the Crank Shop tune. Why would such a good band break up. It's a shame. You guys were so d**n tight. I'll never understand band politics. Don't ask me.. I still don't know.. We just parted. Our last gig was at Martini's back in 2000. You'd have to ask the other gents in the band. I'd love a reunion someday. I miss playing with those guys.

I've added a full MP3 section and more pictures to the Flat Stanley site. Also, a member asked if I had a copy of us doing Alice Cooper and an old U2 song we had in an older set list. I found 2 half decent copies and they are on the website.. Just go to the Flat Stanley section of the Music Planet forum for the link to the site to hear them..

I saw them at Docks. They have a female singer. She's the band really plus she's pretty. The night I saw her she had a cold but still pulled it off. The guitarist stinks. He doesn't match the caliber of the rest of the players that's for sure. The band needs a lead player in a bad way. The mix was all rumble from the bass. They have some nice gear but need a little help to run it. You should help them out Freq or get Crank Sound to help. Just my opinion. Aweeeeeeeeee come on!!!! A little more class there Sgt!! Maybe we were having a bad night ;D Your right about Kim though she did have a cold and shes AWESOME!!True Im not at the same caliber as the rest but they are being very supportive as I try to catch up!! LOL!! Hey you know my Mom always said "if you cant say something nice dont say anything at all" What band are you in Sarg? And whens your next gig? Id like to come out and see you!! Hey Freq, got some nice mp3s on here!!! I really liked Double Barrel and the BnM tune !!!! Was Randy the bass player in Double Barrel

Actually original bass player was Matt Miller, then Rav. We had a number of guitarists too. I think 5 or 6. That band was around for quite a few years so people moved on after a year or two. I think we went for about 5 or 6 years.. We Also had 3 lead singers.

I play guitar. no band.

the link is the lesson ;-). It will fit in a lot of the songs you do. band might like you but does that mean you don't need work on lead playing dude? just being honest. Did not mean to ruffle feathers mang.

Bilko.. I think your delivery is what got O.B. on the defensive.. Try and round out the edges a bit next time.. haha. AND Obsession.. stop being a weeniehead.. You know you need work like we all do. Do what I do all the time and that is to tape the band and see where you need work. TAPES DON'T LIE (remember Holiday Inn?) All these mp3's I put online here helped me learn after hearing them the first time. Some I can laugh at now but cried when I first heard them.. haha. Some I still cry.. ;D
