I think Spinning Yodas is a cool name. There was a band called Spin Doctors.. Similar in a way.
Obsession sounds like a tie in to Cher in some ways. Not a very creative name.

I saw them at Docks. They have a female singer. She's the band really plus she's pretty. The night I saw her she had a cold but still pulled it off. The guitarist stinks. He doesn't match the caliber of the rest of the players that's for sure. The band needs a lead player in a bad way. The mix was all rumble from the bass. They have some nice gear but need a little help to run it. You should help them out Freq or get Crank Sound to help. Just my opinion.

I agree Robonikki, The Spinning Yodas was a cool name. "Thebandsmember" is just jealous 'cause his name "Squishy Diaper Buns" never got picked.. haha ;D

I actually chat with her once a week. We have a mutual friend. Obsession use to be called "Rumours" which was a far superior band. I know the guitarist they have now and know he's no match for the guitarist they had in Rumours. I also played in a band with Obsession's guitarist so I won't voice my opinion. As for helping them with sound.. hehe.. I'm in the book.. All they have to do is call me or Crank Sound.. Pretty easy.. ;D

In retort to Mr.Freq's comment about the band name I chose, I would like to say that "squishy diaper buns" was not the name I picked for the band, rather the name I wished to call the guitar player......he didn't like the name so we went with Donnie and or Mom depending on his ability to iron a shirt that evening! As for Obsession and the comments about that band,I've never heard them so I cannot comment on their sound, only that the name is a strong smelling cologne.

P.S. Freq, I saw pics of that Obsession band on Soonet, isn't their guitar player the guy who claims to have fired you?

I saw those pictures too. Kim's a solid singer and the drummer and bass player are guys I went to highschool with. As for the G-man, that's the first I've heard of a claim by him to have fired me. That would be a humourous story to hear though. If he did fire me, he forgot to do it with me there.. haha. BDR folded so he must have fired himself also.. ;D Sounds like a skit from the movie The Rutles..

I have a lot on video TBS.. I want to purchase a DVD burner and transfer all live shows to that format before the video tapes all dissolve. I'll see if I can find a few more to post.. Any requests?? BTW,, I found songs we did that I had no clue we did.. Why we didn't play them more than a few times is beyond me..

2 links are broken to a few sound files I have up.. They have been reported and hopefully will be up and running in a day or 2.. One is Crank Shop's Judgement Day and the other is Flat Stanley's Learning to Fly. They are to date the most played songs out of the many I have online.

We did that Floyd tune a few times, but I honestly can't remember performing any Wild T. And as for a mic clicking, well I'm going to have to look at the sound person for the band on that one.........but hey at least after the mic skipped off of my head, it wasn't heard from again.\\

The Wild T song we did was "I've got the Rhythm" I thinks that's what it's called.. We also did "old man" by Rockin Highliners.. I sang that one.. Totally forgot we did it but found a short bit of it on tape. Nothing worth posting but still got me going "wow" we did that?? We also did What is Hip by Tower of Power and a song by the Rockets.
