Yes, I seem to be doing a lot of fill ins lately after I semi retired from doing so. Local rockers "Havadder" called me on short notice to do a fill in show last weekend at Rednecks so I took the plunge. I had only met their singer once and never heard the band before except in video form. Also filling in that weekend was Travis Sharpe on bass. We jammed once for a few hours and then played the two night gig and had a blast. Some of the material I had never played before like Foo Fighters "My Hero", and a number of Green Day songs and more. I was out of my element but it actually turned out great. We had a few bangs and bumps but the crowd response was great. So here are some videos from the Saturday night. The video is from beside the drumset as we didn't have anyone that filmed it from front house so it's a different perspective. Understand that this was thrown together in a few hours then hit the stage the next day so parts are not perfect but we don't sound like a train wreck either. Hell, some songs I was reading charts for and our bass player was also winging it on a few. Still, a totally fun fill in gig. Enjoy.
