It's official. KISS has canceled the December 15 show (tomorrow night) in good ole Sault Ste. Marie. Rumour has it Gsis Murphy will fill the vacant spot drawing on the popularity of their new hit song "21st Century Pablum Munchers". OOH!! Pinch me |O|.
Well, not really. That would make me drastically ill. HA! Reports say a few reasons on the cancellation. 1. Bad weather where Kiss is playing tonight making it impossible to get here in time and safely 2. Fire permits could not be agreed on for the heavy pyro show at the Essar arena that KISS normally uses. 3. Gsis Murphy boycotted KISS because they're a bad influence. haha 4. KISS couldn't find Sault Ste. Marie on a map. |O|
The KISS show will be rescheduled for Summer 2010. Now, no one paid attention to what I was saying months ago when rumours of KISS playing here first started. I said.................KISS will not do the Essar center because of the low capacity it has and also because of their pyro show. HA! Freq is right as rain again. I predicted a summer show all along. I also predicted it would be at Runway Park. WHY? It's the logical place because it allows more people AND KISS's pyro show AND it's beside the airport for a quick KISS escape. Wait and see. ;-) I do NOT believe this recent cancellation is because of weather but even if it's part of the reason, it's not the entire reason. So, Freq predicts KISS in the summer here but at Runway Park, LIKE I SAID BEFORE~!. Mark it on your calender this time as I'm tired of repeating myself :-)
Now... this changes the opening act status too for this show I would imagine as I believe a new headliner will most likely be lined up for the summer tour. Hopefully the winner of the local contest to open for KISS gets to play but with a new outdoor venue, it would be great to have a few more local acts on the bill just to fill up space. We'll see. ;-) I do hope Garden of Bedlam doesn't get rooked on the deal.
Isn't it ironic that the only one to benefit from this entire KISS show "thang" is the Canadian bar who made a killing on this Battle of the bands Contest to open for KISS. We all lost but that yucky bar. Typical ain't it?
