Here are a few updates.
Rumour has it final mixes are underway on the 2nd album by Wishbone. I know the album sounded great before I left the group so I can only imagine how good it's going to sound when the final mix is settled on by the group. I've heard no mention of a release date for the album.
Their new drummer is Brent Royer. I hope I have his name correct. Sorry if I don't. Not sure of his musical history. Look for live Wishbone shows in the near future.

Have you seen their website lately? Pretty lame. They have pictures of themselves with goofy glasses on. I'm not quite sure what they're shooting for. They've also added Gsis Murphy to their friends list on Myspace. How ironic is that?

Hey Fingerbang. No I haven't gone to their site since I removed all my graphics or I should say when I quit. ;-) Not interest really. I have no clue what image they're shooting for if any. I know at the last jam I had with them after a great time in the recording studio, they seemed different. Well Dennis didn't.. He was always level headed. The other 2 had an agenda I would say. ;-) No clue on what they're doing and don't care. As the saying goes, I did my time, and I've moved on. ;-) I did wish their drummer luck at the battle of the bands. I don't know him at all personally. To be quite honest, I had no interest in seeing them perform at the finals. I thought they might have changed and actually focused on winning that contest because I thought they had a strong chance to win it, but from what I heard of their performance they had fallen back to the pre-Freq days. It's unfortunate if they did because their music is great. The Gsis Murphy Wishbone friendship thing is hilarious and oddly not surprising, but to each his own. I guess with me out of Wishbone, Gsis Murphy will get Wishbone tons of gigs rather than boycott them. |O| Maybe they'll manage Wishbone or they can be the opening act for Smurfs? That would be interesting. New band name maybe? Gsis Wisbhone? Wishbone Murphy? Gsis Bone? Boneurphy? |O| Whatever. Bottom Line,, the Wishbone guys are happy and they looked happy at the battle and that's all that matters. I am definitely happier. So all is good. I have no regrets and Wishbone was a great time while it lasted. I have no animosity towards them at all. They knew what they wanted after we recorded our second album and now they have it and that's all that matters. Of course, there's always stress after someone leaves but in time I'm sure things will mellow out.
