Not sure Fingerbang. I never asked. Once I knew the ring leaders there was no need to look for their followers |O|

I added live videos from Lion Ride and Garden of Bedlam to the master list above. Although not the style of music I listen to, they are however popular local bands and they're being showcased in 2 new venues here in our hometown. Videos are from Rob at the Sault Metal Scene site.

Thanks for adding vids I shot, Glen! I'm surprised how good the quality is on my $100 digital camera! Plan to shoot some at the Ultraviolence/Sense of Truth show on Tuesday, Sense of Truth are definitely local! Not a lot of people know of it, but I've been manning two Sault Metal Scene YouTube channels where I've been uploading and favoriting hundreds of local/metal related videos. Mostly Woods of Ypres and the Kiss concert in 2007, those seem to be popular videos-wise. Plenty of local artist vids there, including live video from most local metal/hard rock bands, pick and choose from there if you want some good adds! 654 and counting of the headbanging variety on YouTube, with more to come, whenever I find or upload them! www.youtube.com/user/saultmetalscenewww.youtube.com/user/saultmetalscene2Personally, I'd love to find videos of Hollow and Soldiers of Misfortune, those two were some of my favourite bands as a teenager. Tym Morrison from Hollow is still active locally, but videos are hard to track down. Soldiers, no trace of even a closed webpage. Maybe one of these days!

Hey Glen, found video of Genghis Khan covering "Scarified" by Racer X from a show at The Eastgate! Nice clip, this comes from Mike Mannarino's YouTube channel!

Thanks Rob. That's around '92 and actually part of the Eastgate Battle of the Bands. I have the video too but the sound quality is kinda pooched. Even though we were an instrumental band, we finished 2nd in the finals and the band Alyster featuring Phatsticks singer Jason Talifer took first. They were great. It was a blast. I believe Andy the guitar player won for best guitarist. The contest had awards for other things too but I don't recall exactly what they were. We were the only band to do a few originals if I remember correctly. There's not much video of that band around. I think just that video from the Battle and a basement tape I recently found. I'm not even sure who filmed it but we all have a copy.

I've added a very recent video of the new "Social Plan" ex Browbeat band. The song is called "Walk Away". Thanks to Rob from SMS for actually video taping this footage. I've seen a few of their past videos recorded at their jam space when they were Browbeat. When Social Plan's drummer Chris and I were in Wishbone, he showed me a few of his past band videos so I was familiar with Browbeat when most weren't. To me Social Plan is the better name and vocal wise, the lead singer reminds me of Brian May of Queen at least on this video. If you disagree, take it up with my attorney. haha. It's nice to see the band out finally playing after many months in rehearsals. The song isn't my taste but it's good and I just love a power trio, don't you? Plus, you have to love the fact they have a cute gal bass player. Hopefully Social Plan will put out an EP or CD in the near future.

Hmmm. Any Gsis Murphy live videos yet? Is there not even one shred of video of this legendary local band? Please, say it isn't so :-( I mean, I'll take video of them drunk or sober. ;D If you find any, please post it. We'll study it exclusively so we can pass the legend on through the next generations.

Album released 1995 (JoJo Productions) Boy did I find a gem online. The band is called "Foundation" and the song is called "Disgust Groove". Now years ago I jammed with the guitarist in this band (John McKinnen right). At the time, they weren't called the Foundation but I do remember this song from back then. I am trying to remember what they were called. Never the less, a few guys from this band are from the Sault even though it says on most info they're a Guelph band. I actually have an original version of Disgust Groove somewhere on cassette that's a bit different than this version. John was a super nice guy and was part of the Centennial Lanes/ Zombie A Go Go bands. Anyways, I was asked to do a fill in with this band back in the 80's I'll say for lack of memory on time. If I remember correctly John Mckinnon, Scott McClurg were part of this band in it's Soo days. I will try and find info on them from my old guitar player Chris Belsito. He was friends with McKinnon. Check out a few of Foundations songs below. Foundation - Disgust GrooveFoundation - CohesiveFoundation - Wine For Two

The first song is the best. The others, not so good. It's amazing how many musicians from the Sault are spread out around the country. I like the fact that we can find out who and where they are simply by music.
