The 2nd Wishbone album is done recording wise and the mixing is taking place as I type this. The album has a great vibe to it and I'm proud of what we accomplished on this new one. The new album contains 12 songs and they vary greatly from the music of the first album. I do hope the final mix turns out better than the first. We all learned a lot since the first one. ;-) I'm sure fans will love the new music. Word from our recent live shows dictate they do.
With the recording done on the new album, I decided to part ways with Wishbone to dedicate all my time to my own band Flat Stanley and my solo work. My guitarist in my band and I are celebrating 10 years together and I decided that 2010 will be Flat Stanleys time to showcase it's massive library of original songs. For most of my life I've always played in 3 or more bands a year but time is no longer a luxury in my life. I had decided just before recording the 2nd Wishbone album that I was leaving but I wanted this version of Wishbone to end on a high note. The new album is that high note. I had also hoped to play the Grady show at the Canadian to showcase our new music but also to end my live performances with Wishbone on a high note. Unfortunately, some local prick bands ruined that for us. The good thing is that live shows are rarely remembered but the CD's we printed and the ones coming for album #2 will live on in 100's of CD players around the area. Wishbone was about good old fashioned hard rock. It's pure envy and jealousy when a handful of your peers try to sabotage a live show you're playing in. Gsis Murphy and company did it. Bravo!!! It's even worse to be considered a bad influence. Bad Influence? HA! Now that's funny. Freq a bad influence?
You haven't seen anything yet.. xxoo |O| Since when are bands like Gsis Murphy the guardian angels of right and wrong or the sensors of what's good or bad for a bar or an audience? Well, everybody, say hello to your new local music police. Gsis Murphy and company are now going to tell you what is good wholesome entertainment. |O| Lord f**kin' help us. Oh yes Gsis Murphy.. please nurture us with your cheesy music. What idiots.
Sooooo, Wishbone has a new drummer now so look for them live soon. The new album will be released soon and I'm hopeful fans will enjoy it as much as we do.
I am now on track with my true love which is my own material and finally, a Flat Stanley album. Stay tuned for that.
