I just couldn't hold out any longer. It's that time of the year where we pick the knob that has either done something really dumb or caused ill will to others or their ego exploded or... you get the picture. Of course this is for local talent only. :-) Please submit your candidates. |O| Here are a few of my choices. 1. "The Freq". But of course. How could I not be on the list. Without my loving forum, you would actually believe that the Soo is full of fun loving, friendly non back stabbing musicians. That is simply not the case. I thought it was at one time when I started Musician's Central but boy, it didn't take long to find out this city is full of back stabbing prick musicians so we can thank those shit disturbers for creating this forum and the evil Freq attitude you see before you. Yes, those odd few that would throw the little hand grenade posts into what was a growing music forum, but is now a burned out, moth balled music forum on Soonet. My mission, is to point out these creeps and the wonderful wake of slop they've produced by doing things their way BUT in a tasteful, freqish way which of course has zero interference by them, just like they did to me and the others that wanted that old forum to work. You know who you are. So yup, I'm an asshole but not by choice. I'm sure you get the picture. ;-) 2. Dr. Phil... the ever so "bent" drummer who just couldn't shut his yap or cage his hostile behavior until he finally went to far and attacked an innocent woman in a bar thinking it was one of our founding members of this forum. I have to admit, he's pretty high on the asshole list |O|. All this built up frustration towards me of all people, and yet, not one personal confrontation. Always through others. Why? I dunno, but it was damn funny. All this extended from him not being happy about his name being on a drum score. That's it. This is pure stupidity. Enjoyable for us, but it's got to be damn embarrassing for him now.. |O| 3. Cheesie Smurphy, the Poison band of the Soo. Legends in their own minds. What can I say. They suck. Months of a Beat the Freq campaign that went.......nowhere. A beat the Freq campaign website started on Facebook that got them laughed at when fans were suckered into what they thought was a gig, but ended up as a slam fest on me. BOOM! Blew up in their faces. HA! Then apologies in droves to me and of course the embarrassment for them. To wind things up, they post the worst original music I've heard next to my own stuff on their site threatening to release it as a CD.. BARF! and then the final DUI by their bass player. Man, you couldn't wish for bigger assholes eh? haha They may suck but man are they a writers dream to yap about. 4. Mr. Dickhead who I had to unfortunately ban from our forum. You know, the Doc Phil lover who slammed me yet knew nothing of me but seem to be a stalker of sorts. Everybody wave because we know he still views this forum. Remember him? He's the guy that said I don't party with the boys, smile and made it sound like I worshiped Dr. Phils drumming at a clinic ages ago. HA! I'm smiling now :-) Please add more to the list. I'll pick the winner in a few days.

Now this is what I call entertainment |O| I know if it was a few years ago, you could have added that blues festival guy but so far your choices are right on the money. You of course are among the wittiest assholes I've ever met. ;D That Phil character is probably my pick for shithead of the year. I'd put your old rhythm player from Huckster in there too. He deserves an award since he thinks he's the star. Your niece should be in there.. She was pretty tasteless. Hell, they're all assholes on the same level.

Why thank you Floyd... That's the nicest comment I've ever received. I am a witty asshole aren't I? |O|
Ok.. I'll add my old rhythm guitarist, but not my niece.
1. The Freq 2. Doc Phil 3. Cheezie Smurphy 4. Mr Stalker 5. Chris "behind your back" Huckster 6. Sootoday 7. Mistaken Identity 8. Obsessed Alex 9. Ego Ice
I had to add Sootoday for just beating around the bush for an interview with Wishbone. Strangest thing I've ever seen.
There are some people who just love to go behind peoples back to get things their way. People condemn me for being "blunt" and to the point but at least you know the truth and it's in your face. Some however do these shitty things behind your back at the most opportune times that are good for them but not for you. Case in point, Number 5 and Number 7 on the list. I got dealt this card a few times over the past few years and oddly it was from 2 guitarists I was in a band with years ago. One did the behind my back thing when that particular band was together. Everyone say Hi Alex. Off course, that finished the band. The other guitarist Chris did that to me in the studio, recording the Huckster album. Sneaky behind the back stuff where things weren't discussed as a group, something that is always done in my bands. There is no excuse for this gutless behind your back stuff when you've been in the band for over a year. Sadly, it's the only way some can gain "Control" of a band so that their way dominates. Of course with Huckster, I quit instantly because of it. If you're not worth the effort to have things explained, then it's not worth being in a band you can't have faith in. GET IT!!! I must say it wasn't really a surprise but it was a disappointment. You really try to give people the benefit of the doubt in band situations but in the end, someone will derail things out of stupidity and greed. This is where our number 8 candidate fits in. (Alex) He just couldn't be honest and behave and most of all, be patient. Obsessed Alex was a true sneak. In fact, he did to the Huckster guitarist Chris who, in turn, pulled the fast one on me. Talk about ironic. Confused yet? haha don't be. Just know they're on the asshole list. |O|
Mistaken Identity. Let's see, a new band that seems to have lead their new singer down a false path. Of course, hurting this persons feelings by of course failing to tell this person the "real" truth. Let's gets some balls local musicians and be truthful for a change eh? Let's just say I'm disappointed in them and their old drummer for leading this person on and then blowing this person off without telling the truth. I know the truth though. ;-) YOu can read the details of that in my biography haha.
Ego Ice.#9 Well, this band I joined had some good ideas, good musicians, no communication but what topped it off was ego. It was the worst atmosphere I've ever been in. I'm not even sure how their previous drummer survived it. Too many bosses and I wasn't even one of those bosses. haha. The sad part is that they were all good musicians. The bass player was really good and seemed to have the focus but the others just fought him all the way. Yup, they're still togethr but I left, and they got another drummer. Egos were so out of control that it was mind boggling. They had girlfriends and audience members picking our songs and set lists, crazy gigs where they didn't know any details of P.A. , pay or whatever. Simply mind boggling. I just didn't fit in.........AT ALL!!. It was also one of those rare occasions where 4 good solid musicians were not tight musically. It was uncanny. They just couldn't understand that being a good musician was only part of making a tight band. You had to take your good chops and merge with the other peoples styles. It was like 4 musicians running on 4 separate tracks when they should have been on the same track. They just never understood that because of their age or egos. I can't say as I never knew what was going on in their heads. It's hard to explain but after a half year, the band still didn't want to grasp onto that fact even though I kept saying it. I was the real old guy in the band and they were kids. You know.. Dad knows nothing. |O|. They just couldn't understand the "communication" factor on a personal level, or the communication factor in a musical sense. It was one of only a few bands I've been in, that just didn't gel. Maybe someday they'll understand that concept. Honestly, I couldn't wait to get out. On yes, the band had it's own Yoko Ono too. Nothing worse than a girlfriend trying to be a manager.. Now that's happened a few times in my life and both times it killed the band. ;-) Except for the bass player, Ego Ice was an ego fest with no communication. Big lesson, if you don't communicate with your band, it will cause problems. ;-) I've learned that, now I'm letting you know. Do you want to know what's really sad? I constantly forget I actually played in that band. Normally, there's something to talk about or remember about bands but that one, nothing. I was in a band called Hostage too.. Same feelings. Nothing really memorable. BUT egos = assholes and thus they're on my list haha. Except the bass player.. he's cool.

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee. I love award shows. Hands down Doctor Phil is the winner. Just when you thought his drumometer rant was bad enough, he tops it by attacking a woman in a bar with her husband there. Priceless drama and I well deserved win |O| Don't forget to add Captain Lard Boy. You know, BDK from Soonet. I saw his posts on the Smurfs site. He's no angel. He's an asshole

Hell yeah. I forgot about Captain Lard Ass, I mean boy.
Of course he should be on the list. I so him at the license bureau a while back. He didn't say hi.. How cruel |O| Funny, he didn't seem to be shooting his big yap off like he does on forums. Typical. Strange eh.. All these people see me in public and don't say squat to me. They either tell my friends to tell me something or just spew smoke on forums. Same with "the Smurfy flock". they come out to see Huckster when I was there and not a word. It's so easy to be ballzy behind a keyboard. Same with Keith from Smurfs. Saw him a few times where I work.. He hid |O|... Too funny.. But YES.... Captain Lard Ass is on the list.. Good one Fingerbang.
1. The Freq 2. Doc Phil 3. Cheezie Smurphy 4. Mr Stalker 5. Chris "behind your back" Huckster 6. Sootoday 7. Mistaken Identity 8. Obsessed Alex 9. Ego Ice 10. Captain Lard Ass (boy) whatever..
Keep 'em coming folks. I'm sure I've missed some.

D'oh ;D This is hilarious
I'd add the Blues Festival idiot that ripped so many musicians off. I know that was a little while ago but once an a'hole, always an a'hole. |O| I do agree that Dr. Phil is leading the pack. His little adventure at the Canadian pretty much seals the deal. Of course the Smurfy DUI guy is up there.

Hey Paul.. long time no see. How were the holidays?
You're right, that blues guy should be on the list. There is really no time frame for assholes. As for the Smurfs DUI, I'm keeping all their dumb moves in one basket so to speak ;-) The DUI was just icing on the cake.
Anyone remember that Blues Festival guy being on Musician's Central? What a con artist. I had an all original blues band at the time and this guy came searching for me to have the band in the show. I said my band "Crossbreed" would do it as we had been recording an album and would love to do it. Get this, I said we'd do it for free. The deal was done and that was it. He was more than happy. A month or so later, guess what? I get a call and he wants us to audition. Audition?? I said, hey, you come looking for us. I didn't go to you. Sorry I won't audition. Because of that, we weren't in the show haha. Obviously if you come looking for someone, you know what you want. Fast forward a few more weeks. A band called the Bobec Blues Band needs a drummer to do some shows and I get a call to do them. I forget how many but guess where their last gig was? The Blues Festival haha. Bobec Blues band was retiring after that show. So to my enjoyment, I snuck in under the radar and played the so called Blues Festival. Our set as the Bobec Blues Band got great response as we played blues music for all age groups. We got a standing ovation.. The only band to get one. It was a great vindication of sorts. While walking off stage with my drums I ran into the two faced organizer and said flat out, "There's my audition" |O| He didn't like that but I made sure to rub his face in it. My original blues band was disappointed and would have done great but alas, some people just don't know how to treat people or organize events. Sadly, I got paid because I was a hired gun to the Bobec Blues band who actually paid me out of their own pockets. They however, like most of the other local bands, got ripped off and never got paid. Pretty pathetic eh? And people wonder why I was so verbal on Musician's Central.. There's just another small reason.
Updated list
1. The Freq 2. Doc Phil 3. Cheezie Smurphy 4. Mr Stalker 5. Chris "behind your back" Huckster 6. Sootoday 7. Mistaken Identity 8. Obsessed Alex 9. Ego Ice 10. Captain Lard Ass (boy) whatever.. 11. Blues Festival Organizer

Pretty funny. When I post garbage like this thread, the people reading the forum increases. |O| That's the Soo music scene for ya. I always had this misconception that Soo musicians wanted to grow, evolve if you will, and try and put the Soo on the map for creative music and musicians but the interest in this thread as opposed to learning something positive in other threads on here seems to show a different story. To be honest, it doesn't surprise me. I learned that on Musician's Central years ago. That forum was a testing ground. I learned a lot ;-) None the less, this thread is for enjoyment purposes anyways along with being yet another "test". I've learned that such silliness like this thread brings out the stupidity is some who lurk on the outside of my forum. You know who you are. wink wink. I always find a way to sucker you into the Freq's world. |O|

My vote is Dr. Phil. Too much drama spinning in his head not to warrant this humble award.

I am surprised no one suggested Susan Myers for her Kiss hatred and attempts to make sure that they didn't come here. I personally think that she, although a bit out of touch with Kiss' real selves and image, meant well for the city. But certainly a lot of other people saw her differently, and I found it odd that no one even brought her up.
As for who I really think deserves this award, no comment, I don't want to be on anyone's bad side if I can help it!

Elvis Presley went through the same criticisms. I think Freq really wanted to win the award so he left a few good ones out like Myers |O| You know how Freq loves to stir the pot.
