Sadly, our local casino has changed it's band format starting in April 2016. Instead of 2 nights of entertainment, it has been cut down to Saturday only. Also, money per man per night is now down to $100 from the $125 it was. Lastly, the other big kick in the nuts is that the sweet PA system that they had is now gone along with the stage. Basically, any bands that play there bring their own PA. The stage that is supplied is roughly the one similar to when the casino started which isn't much. This is unfortunate and to be honest makes the casino a non priority gig for most working bands as really the money is no better than other venues in town but also with it cutting one night off the deal, makes it a hit and miss place to play. I'm not sure how the bands that play there are reacting but I'm sure they're all disappointed. The reason for the big cuts are budget issues or so they say. The other cut is that Crank Sound Distribution will no longer be doing PA setup or sound. That's also a big loss and now the casino will have to deal with a multitude of sound variables from each of the bands. I'm not sure that's a good thing.
If anything changes.. I'll post it here.
