GLEN "the Freq" THOMAS (DRUMMER, GUITARIST, BASSIST, VOCALIST, KEYBOARDIST, SOUND ENGINEER, GRAPHIC DESIGNER, PHOTOGRAPHER) To start this section off, I'm adding my own Youtube video section first. My video channel contains my solo work along with my band projects and also side projects I've been a part of over the past 3 decades. I have played with numerous musicians and had a lot of fun creating music over the years of which some of these moments were captured on digital video, old VHS tape and Cassette. Quality varies but consider it a small time capsule of work I've been a part of. On my own solo work, I write all the material and play all the instruments including vocals. I also create my own videos and graphics to help support some of my own music. Feel free to share the links provided if you enjoy the music or videos. As for band videos, these were recorded at various times at various venues over the years. Click the link below to view my personal video archive. RANDY "DUTCH" VANDERPLOEG (Guitarist, Singer, Bassist, Drummer, Songwriter) Randy is originally from British Columbia and headed east to the Sault after a friend, who was moving here, offered him a ride. Since things weren't going too well in BC, Randy took the offer to ride east and ended up in Sault Ste. Marie. Randy started the band "Browbeat" locally in 2006 with Chris Smith on drums, Tiffany Emmerson on bass, and himself on guitars and vocals. The project at one point was also called "Social Play". They did approximately thirty gigs around town before disbanding in 2008 ...Randy then restarted the band again in 2011 with Johnny Belanger on drums, James White on Bass and once again played local venues. Usually a show would consist of half cover songs and half original material. Randy has written nearly fifty original rock songs, most of which have gotten great response via live and on his website. The band went their own ways in 2012. Randy has been a hired gun in other local band projects including the Tym Morrison band "Caveman Morrison" and continues to write and record music. Here is his video channel on Youtube featuring early versions of the band Browbeat. Randy "Dutch" Vanderploeg's Video Channel

CHERRY CRUSH Cherry Crush is a local dance band that has been around for a few years. Lead by veteran singer/ guitarist Jules Cote, the band has had a loyal following for a few years even though they've had a few lineup changes. Taryn Bugyra is the present lead singer with the father and song team of John and Johnny Amendola taking care of the bass and drum duties. Their Youtube channel hasn't been updated in a while but I offer the link just in case you've never heard the band before. Here is their video channel. Cherry Crush Video Channel

THE THRILL JUNKIES The Thrill Junkies are the Sault's party band and have been playing the local venues for some time now. They also took part in the extremely popular "Rock 'n' Roar" concert that takes place in Spanish Ontario every summer and has featured some of Canada's premier recording acts like April Wine, Kim Mitchel, Coney Hatch and Headpins to name a few. The Thrill Junkies never got the local press they deserved for playing this major event which also requires bands from the area to take part in a competition battle of the bands to even get in the show. The Thrill Junkies did it, beat the competition and placed in the main show. So....we're giving the band a little loving plug on Freq's Music Planet because they earned it. ;-) The Thrill Junkies are, Scott McClurg on drums, Travis Sharpe on Lead Vocals, Robert Brown on guitar, Jason Nisbet on Guitar and Justin Langlois on bass. Check them out at a venue near you. There aren't many videos of the band online but here is one. If anyone has more, email me here on the site. Here is a video of The Thrill Junkies live at the Canadian Bar. The Thrill Junkies Live "Times Like These"The Thrill Junkies Facebook Page The Thrill Junkies

DORIAN GREY Dorian Grey is a classic rock band that has been playing 60's and 70's music locally for a few years now. They also do a few more modern tunes but they are known for their classic 60's music. The band consists of veteran musicians Joe Miceli on vocals and drums, William Judd on bass and vocals, John Villeneuve on acoustic guitar and vocals, Ron Mclean on lead guitar and Vince Caputo on Keyboards. Once in a while I get to fill in on bass with the band which is always a lot of fun. The band plays regularly so check them out if you get a chance. Here is a video of Dorian Grey doing a little '60's surf music. Dorian Grey - Walk Don't Run

LUCKY 13 Lucky 13 contains a local all star lineup of talent from past bands like Aftersight, Bangers and Mash, Gully Yodellers and Wishbone. They are relatively new to the local circuit but are gaining a solid following. The band plays heavy rock covers like Stone Temple Pilots. They have played shows at the Canadian and the Rockstar Bar. All members have recorded and released CD's with their previous bands so hopefully something emerges from this latest lineup. There aren't many videos of the band but here is one. Glitch features Mark Oliverio - Guitar/Vox, Marco Pedalino - Guitar/Vox, Sean Berlinguette- Bass/Vox and Mike Oakley - Drums/Vox. As of yet, I have not found any video of this band so if you have any videos, email me the link using my email in the navigation bar. Thanks. Here is a link to Glitch Website Glitch's Facebook Page
