They didn't screw me over. They just treated me like crap haha. I had fun with a bunch of them on the forum but for some reason a few of the Mods had it in for me. That AC/DC dink for one. Again, I left after the mods kept swearing at me and asking why I was there in the first place. (that was easy,, I was asked and they accepted my membership...duh) It's always nice to encourage members like that. It makes people feel soooo welcome.. So I left. I told a friend (one of the few level headed mods) to cancel my account. I joined all those forums to have fun and I did for a while but then there's always a few retards that like to be mean and ruin things. A few even tried to ruin a relationship I had. What a soap opera. It's really funny to me that SooZoo started out to be different than Soonet because they didn't like the rules of Soonet.. It ended up being exactly the same only they allowed bad language. All those forums started out to be different or have no rules. Within half a year, the forums all had changed their rules and started clamping down basically making all the forums the same. Now Soonet has changed to an absolute bore fest. Over modded by power trippers. BDK and company sank the ship. Many of us saw it coming and that's why you don't see any of the really fun posters anymore. Anyone see Soonet name all their mods by number? They turned it into prison atmosphere. Made me laugh.. Now when that didn't work, they started going back to regular nicnames. HILARIOUS! All I can say is that it was fun while it lasted and it was time to move on anyways. I do miss some great people on those forums though. We all had some good times. Now I am upset, d a m n u, ya well I can be a dink sometimes, lol

Well, I think we all can be dinks when it comes down to it. Depends on the circumstances.

Allow me to add to this topic, here's the forums dealing with local music that I follow! excoboard.com/exco/index.php?boardid=11206The Fitswitch Asylum, the now inactive forum from Fitswitch, good discussions of the band and local scene there www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/gates-winter-477Gates of Winter's mostly inactive forum, now that they're on hiatus, the forum has mostly been unused. northernrocks.21.forumer.comThe official forum for the now defunct Northern Rocks Magazine, which discussed Northern Ontario music and concerts. Too bad the magazine died, it was a great idea and a fun read, Chris Rancourt was gonna spotlight my blog in it before they stopped producing new issues. users.boardnation.com/~renderwareAnother forum from a dead local band, this one for local hard rock band Renderware. Some members of Renderware can now be seen in a new local band, Nebraska Arms. www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=3206095245This is technically a Facebook group, but there's an active forum there. Great great page dedicated to the Sault Music Scene as people active in the 70s-90s local scene remember it. It's came in handy as a resource on many occasions. Well worth checking out! tsms.14.forumer.comThe original forum from The Sault Music Scene, last updated in 2006. Good resource for older local news, it was eventually replaced by the forum below! the705scene.7.forumer.comThe705Scene Forums, the last surviving vestige of The Sault Music Scene (a site I really miss.) Still active to this day, though updates are slower than they used to be (particularly for Northern Ontario concerts.) Still a good forum to check out! www.soonet.ca/forumdisplay.php?s=dc503c228e12f9ca292437ac99866816&f=31The forum Glen adminned, not as active as it used to be, but it's been a good read at times. SooNet also has forums for discussion of many other local topics that don't have to relate to music. www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/woods-ypres-386/The official forum for local progressive/doom metal band Woods of Ypres. The user base isn't strictly local, but Woods are locally based, so there's enough local discussion to go around. Great site to visit for up to date information on Woods of Ypres Hopefully these forums will add to the topic!

Thanks for the links Rob. My old forum link to Musicians Central is like a dose of Kryptonite to me but I'll let you post the link |O|
Since Facebook and Myspace came on so strong, a lot of forums and chatrooms seemed to have died a quick death.
