Bilko and Nik.. I now have a video capture box and will be uploading a video or 2 from a Rainhorses live show at the Northern Lights Festival where we opened for Great Big Sea. That was probably the best time any of us had as a band. It was just a great time. I'll have it on very soon!!

As promised, here are 2 videos of a live performance by Rainhorses when the opened for Canada's "Great Big Sea" back in the late 90's. Rainhorses seemed to always get great response from our audiences. I keep hoping for a reunion someday. I keep trying but no interest yet but ya never know. Rainhorses Live Video - LandoverRainhorses Live Video - Brave New EnergyVideo files are huge but are streamed for high speed internet. Modem users can try but it will take a long time.

yes.. pretty mellow but at the time Rainhorses were around, Blue Rodeo, REM and similar bands were ruling the airwaves. The tuned down, heavy stuff was just lurking at the time.

I appreciate the Rainhorses CD freqy. Some of the rare ones you put on the CD are my favs.. I like the birthday song. My absolute favourite is Force of Habit. Your drumming is cool on it.

No problem.. Glad you enjoyed the CD. Thanks for the hug by the way.. I needed that.. Yeah the song "26th Birthday" is a good song. It was actually written for the August Mask CD but we drew names of songs out of hat containing the band members picks for the album and that song never got the votes. ;-) I remember Chris being upset with that but all and all the song selection was still good on that disk. I'm trying to find songs from the first album we had on tape that we revamped for our live shows. Those are pretty cool. The songs are much darker which I myself found more enjoyable. As for Force of Habit,, tanx babe. Yeah I'm quite happy with me ole drumming on Force of Habit and also Greedy Little Minds. We were more relaxed in the studio for those and there were no deadlines. It made a huge difference. August Mask was a panic session because Chris was leaving directly after the recording.. That rushing spoiled a lot of the "feel" of that album but I'm still proud of it.

My old band Rainhorses now has a section on CBC Radio 3's website. The 3 Rainhorses albums are featured with a few songs from each album available for listening along with a live performance video from the late 90's. Albums previewed are: Rainhorses - Rainhorses Rainhorses - August Mask Rainhorses - Turbulence Here's the link to the CBC site. radio3.cbc.ca/ Once on that page, select the tab "New Music Canada" then you have to search out the "Artists" tab. All artists are listed in alphabetical order. You can also start an account and make play lists of Canadian artists. enjoy.
